Youth mentoring program

Youth mentoring

The Youth Mentoring Program is designed to reduce the dropout phenomenon in the Haredi sector, by reducing gaps and creating social mobility among youth in Haredi society.

The main goals of the program:

  • Promoting and strengthening the internal motivation for learning among youth,

  • Strengthening the sense of self-efficacy – academically and socially,

  • Strengthening personal identity and a sense of belonging to the community,

  • Increasing mental well-being and optimal integration into adapted educational frameworks,

  • Developing life skills and abilities and guidance for optimal integration into adult life.

The response was provided through individual and group mentoring for approximately 6,500 students in grades 7-12, with a focus on the transition years between the frameworks.

The program is implemented nationwide - in approximately 420 institutions located in 70 municipalities and employing approximately 800 mentors.

Throughout the year, peak and enrichment days are held, where the campers meet for a break and consolidation, acquire knowledge and an empowering social experience. The goal of these days is to increase the sense of belonging, competence, and self-confidence.
