Connecting to Community: A Festive Summer Event for French Olim in Jerusalem

The annual summer event of Mehubarim, IACC’s program for French olim, was recently held at its first stop in Jerusalem, bringing together approximately 1,200 immigrant children and parents.

The Mehubarim Program provides children and young people from French-speaking immigrant families with a supportive informal framework, helping them integrate into Israeli society and develop a stronger sense of community and belonging.

The Jerusalem event took place in a festive, family-oriented atmosphere and offered a wide range of activities for children. Attractions included inflatable play areas, face painting, a virtual reality station, juggling performances, an African circus and a performance by a French mentalist.

MK Yossi Taieb and Ariel Kandel, CEO of Qualita, addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship with Israel’s community of French olim.

The event reflected the broad scope of IACC’s community work, the connections being built between cultures and the organization’s commitment to helping olim develop a genuine sense of belonging, community and home in Israel.
