From the Ashes We Rise: Honoring the Heroes of October 7
Ahead of the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks, the Israel Association of Community Centers (IACC) has launched “MeAfar Kumi” (“From the Ashes We Rise”) — a digital platform dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of heroes from across the different fronts of the war.
The platform also provides practical tools for planning memorial ceremonies, including suggested content, songs, readings, and ceremony timelines.
By bringing personal stories and commemorative resources together in one place, MeAfar Kumi helps communities across Israel create respectful and meaningful ceremonies rooted in stories of courage, resilience, and remembrance.
The platform is currently available in Hebrew, but the link provides a good sense of its content, structure, and purpose.
