The Annual Youth Mentoring Program Conference

The annual conference of IACC’s Youth Mentoring Program was recently held with the participation of approximately 600 mentors from across Israel.
Operated on behalf of the Ministry of Education, the program provides individual and group mentoring to young people from the Haredi community during important transition periods between educational institutions.
Managed by Rabbi Shlomo Dahan, the program currently operates in 70 local authorities, supporting approximately 8,500 teenagers with the assistance of more than 1,000 male and female mentors.
Led by Rabbi Dahan, the conference offered participants a rich and varied professional program. Activities included paired havruta learning and roundtable discussions on educational and pedagogical issues, simulations based on real situations from the field, professional training, peer learning and recognition of the mentors’ dedicated work.
The conference was characterized by a strong sense of excitement, purpose and shared responsibility. Many mentors spoke about the meaningful contribution they are able to make, the personal satisfaction they gain from their work and the close relationships they build with the young people they support.Participants also expressed their appreciation for the professional guidance and strong sense of belonging provided by IACC.
