On June 9, a moving visit took place at the Yaldudes Early Childhood Center in Acre, where a shelter was transformed into a welcoming learning space thanks to the generous support of Keren Hayesod.

The shelter was dedicated in memory of Staff Sergeant Ofir Berkovitch, who fell during the Iron Swords War. The visit was attended by Ofir’s parents and representatives of Keren Hayesod, who had the opportunity to observe the center’s activities and witness the impact of their support firsthand.

The center provides ongoing programs for parents and young children throughout the week. The renovated shelter now hosts a special “Kindergarten with Mom and Dad” program, offering enriching activities for parents and children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Thanks to this contribution, families are able to enjoy meaningful educational and developmental activities in a protected space that is welcoming, engaging, and child-friendly
