Identity and Community
The Identity and Community Division focuses on strengthening relationships among Israel’s diverse identity groups. Through constructive dialogue, we support processes of identity exploration, rooted in cohesion and mutual respect.
Our work is tailored to the character of each community and provides professional support to local stakeholders across the country. We develop relevant content, lead trainings and facilitation processes, and build connections within communities as well as with partners in Israel and abroad, such as JCC Global.
This work promotes social resilience, cohesion across Israeli society, dialogue between different identities, mutual responsibility, belonging, collaboration, and an ongoing connection between tradition and renewal.

- Mandela - promoting inclusion of people with disabilities through leisure and cultural enrichment activities)
- Masa’i – Amcha Ami (Jewish Peoplehood) - connection with Jewish communities abroad
- Story of a Journey - immigration experiences of the Ethiopian community
- Hiburim (Connections) - community leadership for new immigrants from France)
- Magshimim - youth volunteers through the global Honeycomb Foundation)
- Growing Again - rebuilding communities in the south following the October 7 war
- PELE Program - educational enrichment for immigrant youth

Local Beat Israel – Making Music, Building Community
Local Beat is a nationwide musical initiative of the IACC that combines experiential study of sources from Jewish-Israeli musical culture with the creation of original music. The program is open to musicians age 21 and up – singers, solo instrumentalists, and ensembles, who work in diverse formats. They take part in a structured creative process that deepens their connection to Jewish identity and to one another.
