People with Disabilities
The People with Disabilities Division advances inclusion and active participation within community life, grounded in the understanding that one in five people in Israel lives with a disability and that meaningful gaps in participation still exist.
Our programs enable individuals to engage in social and cultural life in ways that reflect their abilities and aspirations, while working to remove both physical and perceptual barriers to accessibility.
Our approach is guided by the principle “Nothing About Us Without Us,” ensuring the full involvement of people with disabilities in shaping the programs and services designed for them.
Some of our leading programs are Yom Maleh - targeted afterschool programs for students on the autism spectrum, and the Amitim initiatives - social inclusion for individuals coping with mental health disabilities. Each year, we also lead Fabulous February, a nationwide effort to strengthen inclusive communities by creating meaningful encounters between people with and without disabilities.

Connecting to Community: A Festive Summer Event for French Olim in Jerusalem
The annual summer event of Mehubarim, IACC’s program for French olim, was recently held at its first stop in Jerusalem, bringing together approximately 1,200 immigrant children and parents.
The Mehubarim Program provides children and young people from French-speaking immigrant families with a supportive informal framework, helping them integrate into Israeli society and develop a stronger sense of community and belonging.
