The Southern District covers a vast geographical area, from the city of Yavne in the north to Eilat in the south, and includes 36 community centers. The district serves a wide range of populations and settlement patterns: major cities such as Dimona, Sderot, Netivot, Ofakim, and Eilat; 14 regional councils including Arava, Eshkol, and Shaar Negev; and nine Bedouin communities, including Rahat, Tel Sheva, Hura, and Kasiyfa. The community centers in the district constitute a significant social-community anchor, especially during times of emergency, and provide a tailored response to the unique needs of each community.
