The "Combination of Voices" youth band from the "Neve Yosef" Community Center in Haifa was chosen as representatives at an international art festival, which was held this year in South Korea.
The "Combination of Voices" band has been active for over 15 years and represents the unique multi-cultural mosaic of the city of Haifa. The band combines Israeli-born, new immigrants from the FSU and new immigrants from Ethiopia. The essence of the band is the variety and cultural diversity of its participants, united on an artistic stage that enables the representation of all cultures.
The band took part in the opening night with songs in various languages: Hebrew, Amharic, Swahili and English; they danced the crowd and created enthusiasm that swept the audience. Following its success, the band was asked to perform on the closing night of the festival as well, as the final performance.
The members of the band experienced a unique get-together with youth from different countries, while expressing the IACC values of pluralism, friendship and acceptance of the other.
